Lexie had a great weekend. For Mom and Dad, well, it was fun watching her having a great time! ;-)
The fun started Friday night when Lexie finally had her "birthday" party (two weeks after her birthday). She had five girls over and one boy. She invited two boys, but one didn't show, which left it kind of awkward for the boy to hang out with six girls, but he didn't seem to mind and he seems to be a great kid. A couple of the "not so great" boys tried to crash the party, which was kind of funny.

Then on Saturday night we had her last elementary school "father/daughter" dance. Basically she went and had a blast with her friends and I hung out and talked sports and stuff with some of the Dads out back. It wasn't too painful, and it's always enjoyable watching Lexie with her friends. They pretty much owned the dance, being 5th graders and all. A few pictures:
